Charged without me even providing card details! And customer support doesnt answer.

I signed up for the 1 week trial, company charged w/out notifying me

I signed up for the 1 week trial, with the understanding that the company will notify before starting to charge the credit card. They did not notify but charged promptly. I messaged customer support and 7 days later I still do not have a response.Also I tried to use it after they renewed my subscription and the system was allowing access to my account so the program was unusable.

Useful tool, good customer service too

I had a lot of PDFs to shrink (creating documents for a visa application), and I tried a lot of tools. I'm a software developer so I installed some tools on my computer as well. SmallPDF gave me a great balance of shrinking my PDF but keeping the quality high. It was one of the most useful tools I found.Because I had so many PDFs to work on, I signed up for the pro subscription. I finished my visa application before the free trial period was up - but then forgot to cancel the subscription, ...

A great application. Helped me manage to reduce the size of a lot of documents quickly and easily. Great customer service too. After that work was finished, I stopped using the web application but didn't know I was continuing to being charged. A few months later I sent one email to Smallpdf and they refunded the payments for the months I was idle within 24 hours.

Don't fall for this bait and switch nonsense

I uploaded a large PDF and they claimed to be able to reduce it from 70mb to 18mb if I subscribed to Pro. As soon as I subscribed, the site said the PDF was as compressed as it could be at 70mb. This is total scumbag behaviour. Don't give these scammers your money

I started using it when my pdf expert broke, and I have to say, it's pretty nice. They give you many features for the free version, but for some reason, when I was in the middle of editing my document, it suddenly closed the tab, and I lost all my work. Not sure what happened, but it's fine now.

I purchased Smallpdf "PRO," and have been using this for a LONG time and have loved it, until today! I loaded a pdf doc that I had to sign. It allowed me to sign it. However, when I clicked the "new feature" at the bottom "sign and send" or "sign and file," the program immediately froze and said, "error, would you like to start over?" This would be fine if I was a student, but I'm not a student. I am a VERY BUSY LAWYER WITH DEADLINES and this program failed with outlook, with google and ...
