The component library is extensive, which speeds up common tasks like adding doors, windows, and furniture. However, verify in a demo that the software handles your ...Read more

One of the best modeling systems

What do you like best? I liked how they supported their masterpiece. What do you dislike? I kinda don't like their licensing agreements Recommendations to others considering the product To the people who are looking for better modeling applications, this one is worth to try. You'll not regret trying this application for this app can give almost everything you ever imagined. There is a pro version of this though, but for me, I have made a model of my project building with just this ...

Pretty good for quick modelling

What do you like best? Easy to use interface Shallow learning curve Ease of manipulation Shadow diagrams very useful What do you dislike? It is a dumb modelling program - this is both good and bad LayOut is not an equivalent (still to a 2D CAD programme, so sketchup has only been used as a 3D programme for me. Needs ability to turn off snapping Recommendations to others considering the product Until Layout improves, I would stick with SketchUp as primarily a 3D modelling ...

Easy to Use

What do you like best? Sketch Up has been a wonderful platform to project architectural and interior design ideas in. It is so easy to use and easy to learn. If there is a tool or something that I don't know how to do there is always a free tutorial you are able to find online. I do multiple projects in a week and need a program where you can import cad files or jpeg floorplans, quickly select walls and build up. This is a great because I can use quick shots of the different views in my ...

Considered to be one of the easiest platforms to work with.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? The simplicity in which you can create 3D and editing it is one of the many wonderful things with SketchUp. Once you come up with a basic drafted plan in Autocad, the massing model can successfully be made within minutes. I've been utilizing SketchUp for urban planning and building scale. It gave me precise output in terms of quality. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Two things I hate with SketchUp. One is not ...

Sketchup is great for 3D renderings

What do you like best? It is quick to build, easy to see the materials, very convenient to see the 3D space quickly. What do you dislike? Sometimes it's hard to get the materials right to look realistic. Recommendations to others considering the product I wish it is easier to use the plug ins for rendering, it's hard to work with lighting to get the materials look the way we want. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're using ...

Sketchup

What do you like best? I like how simple the tools are and it's self explanatory for basic model building. I also do enjoy using this program to see how the space would look like. I can quickly build a desk to show a client and we can both create edits together. What do you dislike? Some user interface can be upgraded to be more simple. Entering materials requires a lot of trial and error by clicking and going back. The lighting portion also requires a lot of rendering and re-rendering. ...

Sketchup - Architecture

What do you like best? The interface. Hands down, this is the best and simplest interface I've worked with. Is just so simple and clean, and very "first time" user-friendly. In my personal experience, I started using it at work, without any previous experience (not even in school, and I had to meet a deadline and I was in a test period, so the only thing I could've worked with was SketchUp, so I decided to learn and do my work at the same time, and I even got a day to play with some tools ...

An awesome sales tool when it comes to design.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Being able to put up a design and presenting them to customers quickly. At the moment, I'm using SketchUp for designing photo voltaic solar installation for both business owners and home owners. Thanks to my fluency in architecture design, Sketchup makes it possible for me to visualize design with my customers. This can be done by means of a presentation in rendering a layout for their approval. What aspects are problematic or could ...

Simple and fast way to produce 3-d modeling

What do you like best? With SketchUp, you can generate 3-d modeling in the fastest and simplest way. Interface is pretty straightforward and the program itself is very easy to learn compared to other 3-d modeling programs. I personally learnt it in a few hours. What do you dislike? If it comes down to modeling something in complexity like organic shapes or something that needs an accurate dimension, SketchUp is not for you. Also, there is limit for rendering. Only tried V-ray plug in but ...
