MagicQuadrant enterprise content management system with the agility required for this devops age

What do you like best? I continue to be impressed by their focus and determination to constantly remain on the forefront of technology by extending features to empower users and let developers focus on development with great ui components, web services and great developer and support community. With its mixture of both modern (angular/mvc and trusted (microsoft .net technology stacks they continue to be the most logical enterprise choice when looking for a solution that bridges silo's ...

Been using Sitefinity for 1 year. Pleased with the platform

What do you like best? Easy to add content and create and/ or duplicate new pages. Can go back and see past revisions easily. Can develop pages in a preview mode before publishing. What do you dislike? Happens very little but for things like widgets and banners, we need to have the company who worked with us on developing the website actually move. Minor but there are some elements that are beyond our capability to change. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Amazing features. Powerful extensibility. Easy to use Interface

What do you like best? I really appreciate the user interface that makes it easy to build new pages, drag content modules into them, and architect the structure of the site and the configuration options needed. As a developer, it was relatively easy to add new custom components for end users to work with, as well as leverage the existing web service architecture in order to create custom services for my needs. Documentation was very helpful in adding new customizations or working with ...

Very complete solution

What do you like best? The fact that Sitefinity already includes so much functionality plus providing developers with everything to build custom implementations is just fantastic. What do you dislike? It is somewhat slow when launched for the first time. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure to evaluate fully the included functionality to avoid building unnecessary modules. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

SiteFinity from Developer

What do you like best? How I can just create asp.net user controls in Visual Studio like everything else and implement them as widgets in SiteFinity. What do you dislike? Site runs fairly slow loading pages, anytime you have to publish changes to site which is not very often it takes around 5 minutes for the site to get past the gears page and be usable What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Moving from employee site to CMS for ease of ...

Enterprise user with multiple sites running on a single Sitefinity instance.

What do you like best? I like the modular aspect and the scripts and styles widgets (embed code, javascript, and CSS they make it easy to add code in a specific place that's much easier than other CMSs I've used. What do you dislike? Sitefinity can be VERY slow at times. I also think this software is complex relative to other platforms making it somewhat more time intensive for development. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Ability ...

Great for intranet

What do you like best? Fairly easy setup. Able to integrate your own dot net widgets/controls. What do you dislike? technical support is a bit lacking in terms of effectiveness for getting an answer quickly or to move it along. Recommendations to others considering the product See if you have in your budget for purchasing tech support so you don't have to wait 24-48 hours for an answer. I also do not know if it is a good fit for large data intensive websites. What business problems are ...

Overall works quite well. The Sitesync interface and workflow could use improvement.

What do you like best? Fairly easy to use. Nice looking interface, not too buggy. What do you dislike? Sitesync implementation is poor. Difficult to send content across multiple servers. Recommendations to others considering the product Ensure that your IT team is capable of administering this CMS effectively as there is a fair amount of backend config required. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Built a new responsive website. Have ...
