Truly, I wish I could give no stars. What an absolute nightmare of a company. Over 30 phone calls and countless hours wasted on the phone. They have no ability to get you to a manager who can actually help, so you have to wait for an email, schedule a time for a manager to call you. Excellent, but ...

For a retail business this app is great. Inventory control is fabulous but there are a number of little tweaks in reports/inventory that would make this a fabulous 5 Star review. Shouldn't hold you back though. They'll get to the updates!

This system is not for restaurant

This system is not for restaurant, bar, taproom or any foodservice industry. Please be aware and do not buy it. You can't put more than one job code for each employee. We had to create different last names for our employees such as training, rover, etc. There isn't a labor summary report to easily track hours to avoid OT unless you want to add all the crazy names under different job codes manually. If you are using Quickbooks, labor hours will not export over to payroll from shopkeep. ...

Be Ready

Be extra sure you're ready to use the software/hardware when you sign up, as the return policy is absolutely non-existent. Even without processing a single transaction over 3 months while we waited to transfer our POS system, they would not refund a single penny for the un-used services OR help us process a return for the hardware we purchased. Customer service is, as advertised, quick and stateside, but unfortunately wholly ineffective in this scenario.

Horrible company!!

Horrible company!!! They act like used car sales person. Customer service is awful!! We never followed through with our service with them and they keep stealing money out of our account and pretend they don’t know what you are talking about. They even sent a letter stating we are not with them anymore but keep putting charges through.

Smoke and mirrors

Smoke and mirrors! Worst company ever! They sell you there products and promise you everything! I started my business 2 yrs ago and the scanner has never work and the card reader STILL will not read a chip card. They sent 2 new readers but none of the work! The price keeps going up and up and God forbid you have a problem.....they never answer the phone! Do not be fooled by them. Waste of time and money

Started good and is now terrible

I have been with Shopkeep for 5+ years. What started good is now terrible. They went from $49 to $69 and now $89 plus tax per POS. (2-units is now $189). Customer service is now gone. Phone waits are over 30-minutes. I get constant emails pushing referral bonus, software add ons and business capital loans. They go up on my monthly bill and push a $400 referral bonus. They have forgotten what the customer wants. Affordable, dependable POS. Stop with all the gimmicks! Beware and RUN from Shopkeep

RUN!!!!!! away from Shopkeep!!! RUNNNN!!!! They bind you in a contract and their systems are complete garbage compared to Square. Is it worth paying a little higher processing fee to use Square, absolutely!! Your time is more expensive. You’ll spend almost every day dealing with issues at Shopkeep and a lot of upset customers because your system will be glitching almost every day. I know this from my personal experience. One way street. Have been with this company for 5 years and at this point can't stand them. If I could leave a zero, I would. If you do business with them and things come up in your industry that dramatically affect your business, don't expect them to give at all. They will stick it to you hard.
