Great product
I created a free account about 5 years ago and started loading my stock list by hand. As I added each one I had a look at the available data. After about the 6th one I was hooked and switched to a paid account. In a word, awesome.

Know how you're doing
From my perspective, Sharesight is pretty much a required service for any investor. Broadly speaking, there are two types of investors: the "do-it-yourselfers" and people who have an investment adviser overseeing their investments. In my experience with investment advisers, it seems that the last thing that they want to do is tell you your actual yearly returns! Sharesight will give you that answer with no B.S. or biases. functionality means this is more than just another share program
The functionality means this is more than just another program that I enter the number of shares and price bought. Share trade is automated by forward contract notes to sharesight, it has also automated div reinvestment (a huge pain for me trying to keep track of purchase price for shares) and tracks remaining balances. Found the system is very accurate to what I receive (the system div amounts, franking credits etc very rarely wrong), which means that it is a quick process to confirm.

A much appreciated investment portfolio tool
I never truly understood how my portfolio was performing until I started using Sharesight as the information from my on-line broker only tells part of the story. I also love that my record-keeping is complete within the program and can easily be shared with my accountant at tax time. An added bonus is how well it connects with Xero to track my cash movements. And that this is a cloud-based application readily accessible from a web browser or smartphone.

Great simple system that allows easy and accurate tracking of a portfolio. Has saved us lots of fees with the accountant to provide tax information.

I believe in having a large no of…
I believe in having a large no of different shares. Before Sharesight, this was very time consuming and stressful at tax return time, and in keeping an eye on performance. My accountant really appreciates Sharesight. Could not look after my present portfolios without you. Thanks, D.
