SendGrid Reviews & Ratings
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
SendGrid's API remains functional for email campaigns, but recent reviews document specific operational issues. Users report account suspensions without clear explanation, support response times exceeding 48 hours, and IP blacklisting that degrades deliverability. The platform requires dedicated IPs (additional cost) to maintain sender reputation—a hidden expense ...Read more

The best way to send email!
What do you like best? I love the SMTPAPI, enriching an existing protocol has made integration robust and reliable. The pricing is reasonable and the support has been great in terms of response time and proactive advice for improving our deliverability. What do you dislike? I would love to have reporting at the individual subscriber level. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We send over five million emails a month, and we have ...

The dashboard shows everything needed and the spam and bounce service is great.
What do you like best? The great HTTP and API integration. The nodeJS module provided is easy to use and integrate seamlessly with other modules. For instance, we are currently using the node, python and HTTP APIs to integrate our main application, a server process and a hybrid mobile app. What do you dislike? The need to inform an address and the time for them to validate can take a while, but is nothing really long and other products also do that. Other than that there is not ...

Sendgrid review
What do you like best? Stability & dependability. We know with SendGrid that our emails are getting to our users when they need to. What do you dislike? Difficulty in ability to A/B test - since we use SendGrid transactionally we would like to have more options in terms of being able to test different copy by splitting user groups. Admittedly this could be more an issue on our end than with SG. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Convenient and amazingly simple.
What do you like best? Without a doubt this service is something that many people don't think about needing but end up searching for. Importing this functionality into Visual Studio creates a huge convenience when attempting to send out debug warnings. What do you dislike? This isn't something new, there are many libraries and services that can be used to do the exact same thing. If anything convincing people to change to this service is and will be quite difficult when many people are ...

Nice System to Manage Our Email Sending
What do you like best? I like how you can schedule emails in different ways, and those emails are sent on time. What do you dislike? The new UI makes it difficult to access statistics on emails sent/opened/clickthroughs. Recommendations to others considering the product If you need to manage email sending and schedule them by segments, Sendgrid's a good way to go. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We need to inform customers ...

When it works it is fine, but too often I have issues.
What do you like best? Easy to use. When I started with them there setup was easy to use and fast. That was what attracted me to them. What do you dislike? Not reliable. I consistently have issues with bounced Emails. They have some bad servers or bad lines and when you make a connection to that server or line it bounces. I had to code my emails to expect up to 2 failures, Normally by the 3rd try it goes out. Recommendations to others considering the product Frankly I am not sure ...

Sendgrid gets the job done
What do you like best? Sendgrid as a product is easy to use. My favorite features are the reporting, A/B testing and ease in uploading email lists. The staff seems pretty friendly and had no issues in resolving any problems we had. What do you dislike? Some open rates were low due to rejection from certain accounts, e.g., aol.com. Though this may have changed drastically since I've last used the product. Recommendations to others considering the product There are many email ...

A great mail transactional email solution, pretty much set and forget!
What do you like best? Easy to setup in my .NET project, didn't take long to get running and had a good startup deal. What do you dislike? If you forget your password to log in, it's tied directly to your credentials meaning you will have to go into your code and update new credentials there and on all your live servers, this is a pain. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Easy way to handle transactional emails, basically set and ...

Create for API-driven and batch campaigns at a reasonable cost
What do you like best? Real-time communications can be sent on calls to your APIs. The user interface is simple and straightforward. You can create emails using basic drag-and-drop templates or design your own using HTML. What do you dislike? Targeting and segmentation is not really an option. You would need to house data in another system (Tableau and Salesforce in our instance and export/import lists into SendGrid each time you would to send more unique, personalized ...
