Spotsaas Editor’s POV

SendGrid's API remains functional for email campaigns, but recent reviews document specific operational issues. Users report account suspensions without clear explanation, support response times exceeding 48 hours, and IP blacklisting that degrades deliverability. The platform requires dedicated IPs (additional cost) to maintain sender reputation—a hidden expense ...Read more

SendGrid Marketing Campaigns has potential

What do you like best? SendGrid is definitely geared toward a B2B client like me. I frequently upload lists from events we participate in and it doesn't block them like some other platforms I've tried. I like the segmentation options in the lists. Templates are all responsive. Sending is quick and I get good stats on the overall campaign. I can automatically delete the records that have hard bounces. What do you dislike? Many things - but I've given feedback and I know they're working ...

I really have nothing bad to say, sorry. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Sending email from our website and web apps.

Gets the job done

What do you like best? The interface is easy to use and navigate. Setup with websites, ecommerce, and marketing automation programs has been easy as well thanks to so many solutions having plugins already. Support has been good, not always immediate but fast enough (tip: use their chat option. Billing has been helpful as well. What do you dislike? Reputation management and deliverability are an issue from time to time due to shared IPs getting flagged or blacklisted. If you're on a ...

Great Email Serive

What do you like best? I used SendGrid for quite a few different projects. All the way from sending millions of emails a month to the free plan for some small transnational projects. The best part? The service is exactly the same no matter how big or small. What do you dislike? The admin was previously much easier to use. An update a year or so ago made it more 'modern.' Though it really hid some every day functionality. I've had to go into live chat to ask a rep where some settings ...

Good free SMTP server for low-use solutions

What do you like best? What I've always liked about SendGrid is how it takes the complexity of SMTP servers and abstracts that away so I don't need to worry about it. It can be quite complicated to setup your own SMTP servers and this is a great solution. The time we've saved has been substantial. I also like the flexibility to use the API version as well. What do you dislike? I wish that the limitations for the free account were a little higher, as we have a number of low-use websites ...

Sendgrid gets the job done

What do you like best? Easy to find bounced and dropped emails, and reasons for them to quickly resolve issues. What do you dislike? I find the search facets to be a little confusing - am I searching all activity? Only bounces? I find myself restarting searches often to make sure I'm not searching in the wrong place. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I manage user support for a web application. SendGrid helps me troubleshoot ...

Effort of in-house solution vs the flexibility and learning of SG is marginal

What do you like best? The prebuilt templates really speed up the time required to get something working and compatible on multiple device screens and platforms. The drag and drop interfaces lets our business or marketing people work on the designs and content without much intervention from the development team. What do you dislike? The prebuilt templates, while having their inherent advantages, are rather rigid in what can be done for customisation and the drag and drop wysiwyg editor ...
