I actually tried to open an account before the surge. I didn't know anything about it. I provided my ID and the other info. It's officially been over 5 business days, and IT'S STILL PENDING APPROVAL. Meanwhile my friend opened her account after me, and hers was approved within seconds. SECONDS. I tried to contact Robinhood about closing my account already, since I don't trust them with my info. No such luck. They refuse to answer.
