Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Riverside is a browser-based recording platform designed for podcasters, video creators, and remote interview hosts who want studio-quality audio and video without complex production setups. The software records each participant’s audio and video locally on their device, which helps maintain high quality even if the internet connection drops during a session. It ...Read more
Riverside.fm pros and cons
Users can record, edit, repurpose clips, and stream from a single dashboard, reducing the need for multiple tools.
Each participant’s recording is saved as an individual track, which provides more flexibility during post-production editing.
The platform offers text-based editing, transcription, silence removal, and AI clip generation, helping creators quickly convert recordings into publishable content.
Guests can join recording sessions through a link in their browser without installing additional software, making remote interviews easier to manage.
Compared with simple video call tools, Riverside’s subscription cost may feel expensive for beginners or hobby creators.
Automated tools like show-note generation or audio processing may not always produce perfect results.

"Podcast creation made so easy you don't even have to think about it."
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? Riverside does all the work when it comes to production, so sound and video quality are always taken care of. It's great because I can focus on the content, whereas Riverside does everything else.

"Finally!!!"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? The fact that they take sound from the participants' actual computers/mics, and make it available to the person recording? It's genius. We have tried every way we can to break it, just to test what happens if wifi cuts out or someone decides to leave the call etc - it's prepared for literally everything. It saves a comp AND individual files? Video AND audio? silent producers? ...

"Amazing all-in-one solution for podcasters!"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? Riverside has transformed how I record episodes with guests. Before this I had a convoluted way of using zoom and local recordings, or relying on zoom completely for recordings. Unfortunately I often ended up with the robot voice or somethimes dropped recordings.

"Perfect for Podcasting and Recording Client Testimonials"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? I like that you can easily share a link, it's browser-based so nothing needs to be downloaded, high quality recording. This is the best of all worlds. One thing I wish more people would use the platform for is to easily get customer testimonials. It is like doing a facetime with the client, so all they need to do is record, ask questions about the service and cut it up.

"The perfect virtual recording experience"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? Being able to record with guests from 1000s of miles away and still retain the original audio quality has been an incredible experience. Having previously used software where the connection impacts the final audio files, this really has revolutionised our recording processes.
