Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Riverside is a browser-based recording platform designed for podcasters, video creators, and remote interview hosts who want studio-quality audio and video without complex production setups. Riverside.fm pros and cons
Users can record, edit, repurpose clips, and stream from a single dashboard, reducing the need for multiple tools.
Each participant’s recording is saved as an individual track, which provides more flexibility during post-production editing.
The platform offers text-based editing, transcription, silence removal, and AI clip generation, helping creators quickly convert recordings into publishable content.
Guests can join recording sessions through a link in their browser without installing additional software, making remote interviews easier to manage.
Compared with simple video call tools, Riverside’s subscription cost may feel expensive for beginners or hobby creators.
Automated tools like show-note generation or audio processing may not always produce perfect results.

"I am very pleased with Riverside - They are always growing and innovating!"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? The relaibility of the local recordings is amazing! I have had interviews completely drop out, but the files are always safe. I sometimes have guests who request that I use Zoom, and I am always amazed at how much Riverside is better suited for Podcasters. I also find that they are constantly adding new features. Just today I noticed the "Script" feature which allows you to have a script above the screen which is great for doing an ad read while ...

"Power studio for content creators"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? I have been using Riverside for less than a year and I have seen so many upgrades that delight me. I am now able to create and review a test recording before I start for peace of mind. A very nice surprise is that there's now also a section for telepromter text.

"Rock solid platform"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? Super simple to use! There was no learning curve. It's very intuative. Riverside saved the quality of several of our Podcasts by recording the video and audio locally. Without this feature the quality would have been spotty, and we would have had to rerecord. This is a life-saver!
