Great POS System

It has been a very daunting task to upgrade to a feature rich POS system. There is a lot of information available at your fingertips. It does take a good bit of time to set up. Service has been very responsive and very helpful in the process. The more you put in it with your time and effort to get it set up, the better it will give you what you need, the better the experience will be. Barcode printer

The technician could have asked me early in the problem resolution whether I really needed to print the 12-digit barcodes or whether the 5-digit self-assigned barcodes were the only ones required. (The 12-digit barcodes from the manufacturer just won't squeeze onto 1-inch labels.)

Much improved!

The new group servicing accounts is much better technically and in communicating. A problem that occurred weekly hasn't happened in months. Hopefully that wasn't a jinx. Nice change.

Was lead on by members of the sales team.

The Revel system itself functions great! Our project needed to integrate with their open API. We made our goals and needs for our resturant very clear from the beginning and were lead on by a particular member of the sales team. He lead us to believe through incorrect answers and continued reassurance that our specific API needs were achievable. What we found out after purchasing the system from a technical member of Revel is that not only could we not achieve what we needed but he would ...

Worst decision ever.

I switched POS system thinking that Revel was going to be an upgrade. The salesman was really good. Rewards and gift cards integration was my first reason but then the fact that they offer scheduling, CRM, online ordering and inventory control was close second. I cannot stressed how much I am disappointed. This is the worst decision I have ever made. Trust me I am not exaggerating. Everything from the menu building, the install, problem with synching, the reports, the errors, the CSM VIP ...

lackluster support

The support tends to be very scripted and lacks knowledge. Outages are rarely explained and tend to be excused as "maintenance" during prime retail hours. We currently plan on switching back to our previous point of sale provider
