Easy to use POS but high upfront and monthly fees.
The sales person was very charming and later we learned the limitation of the way system integrates and the total cost involved the hard way. We had to purchases all new equipment from Revel at a high markup and the small iPad screens were way too small to work in the real work environment and had to return them and get the larger screens. It took us over a month and half to rectify all the equipment related issues as the sales person "oversold" the capabilities and we ended up spending 40% ...

Powerful great POS system for any business!!
We were a little skiddish about purchasing a POS system, but after discovering the integration of quick books and revel systems, we knew this was for our business. What a great tool to ensure a business runs in a smooth manner!! Onboard get service to training to going live it has been a great experience and we recommend this system to all businesses of any size.

I have well over 30 years of IT and networking experience and I have worked on just about everything out there. A customer of mine purchased Revel about a year ago and it has been nothing but a problem for them. Promised us Chinese/ English Compatibility which never happened / DID NOT CANCEL even after two requests
Revel's sales team were very pushy and finally sold us the promise that their system would be English/ Chinese compatible. What they didn't reveal is that they had to program it to make this happen and instead of characters we had to input pictures. Unfortunately this wasn't compatible with the receipt printers. They tried to resolve and it would still print only half the characters. After we tried to CANCEL twice - in January 2016 and June 2016 we were still be charged monthly by them ...

I've had 3 restaurants and used 2 different POS's. When it came time to replace them, I looked long and hard at the options. Why did I pick Revel? 1) I was really tired of paying 4 figures for proprietary hardware. The terminals from the legacy POS's? Only work with their system. And if they break? So expensive to get repaired. Revel's terminals? iPads! 2) I was really tired of paying 5 figures for propreitary software and then getting nickled and dimed for support calls. Revel's ...

3 years with Revel and I'd make the same choice again!
Really happy with the ease of functionality of Revel Systems. I researched my choices 4 years ago and chose Revel; I'd make the same choice today.

Revel has good customer service.
Revel has a great support team and is always helpful. With that said, the software itself is frustrating and not as user friendly as we would like. It almost seems as if those who are creating and updating Revel do not actually use it on a day to day basis. We use it for retail so I am not sure if maybe the restaurant business finds it easier to work with but because we have constant inventory, sales, custom orders, etc . it is not very flexible.
