Retrace pros and cons
By streamlining the troubleshooting and optimization process, Retrace enables teams to deliver applications more efficiently, ultimately enhancing their productivity.
Retrace leverages extensive experience with APM tools, providing users with a solution that is both reliable and expert-backed for efficient application performance monitoring.
The platform is designed to remove obstacles between users and the improvements they seek, making the process of optimizing application delivery straightforward and intuitive.
It helps development teams quickly identify inefficiencies and performance issues at the source, allowing for faster resolution and better overall application performance.
Retrace’s specialized focus on application performance monitoring may not provide the breadth of features needed for broader IT operations management or monitoring.
Retrace is best suited for developers, which may limit its utility for other teams, such as operations or non-technical stakeholders, who might find it less accessible.

Great for monitoring our servers
What do you like best? The logging ability and filters that you can apply to the search. When we catch errors, we display the Stackify ID in our exception details and use it as a filter in Stackify to view the full stack trace. Clients don't care what it says, so it's nice to hide all the verbiage and they just tell us the Error ID. Also like the alerting capabilities. Helpful when you want to address concerns before they are reported by clients. What do you dislike? Not much to dislike ...

Finding my way around the UI is easier said than done when you're new to the product. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're using it to gain a searchable application log. Finding errors in the log is pretty straight forward.

Getting better every year
What do you like best? I like the prefetch feature for developers allows the dev team to be involved earlier in the process of mitigating production defects. What do you dislike? Missing features from other monitoring software such as NewRelic etc. Cost is a bit high compared to other monitoring solutions as well. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are trying to solve performance issues as well as application issues more proactively.

Stackify APM is easy to setup and provide detailed information
What do you like best? The ease of setting up monitoring and log tracking on our integration and production environments makes this a great tool for monitoring out REST APIs. What do you dislike? Getting configurations to enable more detailed stack trace collection while not slowing down a production environment is a bit of a fine art, but once you have it there is a lot of insight to be gained. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We ...
