Pushy and aggressive - no respect for confidentiality
As a line manager writing a reference for a leaving member of staff I found the approach for asking for references very aggressive and pushy. I received an automated reference request within hours of the applicant accepting her new job and a reminder the next day - both at the weekend. These were accompanied by automated reminder messages left on a Saturday and Sunday to a shared phone where others could access the messages prior to the team knowing about the resignation. This is unacceptable
