QuickFile pros and cons

  • Offers an intuitive, user-friendly interface for easy navigation, even for those without accounting expertise.

  • Provides a free version with extensive features, making it ideal for startups and small businesses with limited budgets.

  • Supports professional invoicing and seamless bank integrations, streamlining financial tasks.

  • Cost-effective compared to other alternatives like Xero or Sage, with transparent pricing for additional services.

  • Limited customization options for headings and categories, which might not fit all industries (e.g., sports clubs).

  • Some features, like handling credit notes, can feel quirky and non-intuitive, requiring workarounds.

Excellent accounting system for our business

As we are only a small part time enterprise, I have always used manual day to day accounting. But after being sent a link for Quickfile and hearing how easy it is to keep everything up to date, I thought I would give it a try. Although I have never used any type of accounting software before, it was all new, but after following the easy to understand help files, I had our books fully integrated in no time. Being able to see the reports and current status of purchase & invoice payments ...

brilliance is free!

Very surprised that such an amazing software package is free! Ok, for small businesses and sole trader...but you’d have to make a lot of entries to exceed the allowed quota. Very well thought out software and lots of options for integration with other software / platforms. For me, I love the quote and invoice template that is generated- I’ve had customers say how professional I am, based on my paperwork. Really cannot praise the people behind this software enough...and the help forums and ...

Perfect for Self-Employed/Freelancer

I've been using quickfile for around 4 years (maybe more), It makes it super easy to create invoices and also set up recurring invoices, even submitting VAT reports is a breeze. It's perfect for any self employed/freelance individual and the power user subscription for more features is very reasonably priced compared to say quickbooks. There are more advanced features for the accountant in us (officially that's what I'm qualified as) but a standard user would not need to touch these to ...

Quick, Easy & Efficient

I’ve been using QuickFile for three years now and have had no problems. The interface is perfect and easy to use for logging payments, creating and sending invoices (with an automated emailing system). There are many option to customise every aspect to tailor this to your needs. Perhaps one of my favourite things about quickbooks is having your own portal which clients can also access to make payments. I’m looking to upgrade to a higher package (for taxes etc), but I’m impressed.

Good for freelance people

Great way to keep on top of your accounts without having to do your own template. I think a tutorial video on the features would be ideal as I’m still getting use to it all and I’m sure the things I want to do I can but don’t know how or have the patience to learn how to on my own.Recommend for self employed independent companies like myself - I’m an event freelance manager so I don’t have loads of invoices each month but it allows me to put them in once place
