Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Quicken's core strength is tax-focused personal finance tracking, particularly for self-employed users and small business owners managing 1099 income. Before shortlisting, verify that the software handles your specific tax situation—it excels at income categorization and deduction tracking but has limitations in multi-entity accounting and payroll processing. ...Read more

I've been using Quicken since Microsoft…

I've been using Quicken since Microsoft Money went away in 2009. Q has continually improved and is to where reconciliation of inbound data is almost effortless. Once it learns a payee it's automatic. And many of the things we used to have drill for are handled by popups. Anyone doing their own taxes or exporting sorted expenses for a CPA needs this. In fact, anyone interested in where their money goes or simply staying on top of their checkbook needs quicken.

Happy user

I have been using Quicken for many years and find it truly meets my needs for monitoring my income and expenses as well as my investment portfolio. Only complaint is limited foreign currency capabilities.

New to accounting software

I am new to accounting software. Tried Quicken for a trial, but found it a bit overwhelming. Learned about Simplif, tried it and love it. Simplifi is easy to use and meets my needs for our small non/profit organization. Thank you!
