Quicken has the tools that I use to both keep track of spending and track tax deductible expenses. I can download transactions from both investment accounts and bank accounts so avoid the effort of data entry and the likelihood of making data entry mistakes.

I have been able to get my bills down…
I have been able to get my bills down by being able to see at a glance what is owed. I am also able to start saving more. When one of my accounts put the mark saying it needed to be updated, I did and it screwed up my account for that entity. I don't use these updates.
