"Great for Presto Queries backed by S3"
What do you like best about Qubole? I love the increased speed of presto versus hive and the flexible UI for adhoc queries and commands. What do you dislike about Qubole? It is a managed cloud service and there is less visibility (or capability) to ssh into the server to make custom configurations. What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you? We are trying to extend our capability to use Looker as an internal and external BI tool for self-service analytics to larger ...

"A useful query program"
What do you like best about Qubole? Overall, Qubole works pretty well for my needs. I enjoy the overall layout, it's rather easy to navigate and to browse old queries. What do you dislike about Qubole? My queries taking a long time to run. I'm not sure if this is specific to the queries i'm running or the tables I'm pulling from, but it does take longer for me to run a Qubole query than some other similar softwares. What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you? I use it to ...

"Strong Platform capabilities, needs more polish"
What do you like best about Qubole? Capable of delivering stable platform to massive warehousing needs; the ability to customized workloads and resources to different analytical tasks has made for a flexible development environment What do you dislike about Qubole? Not new-user friendly, and lacking documentation around python sdk usage. While the Analyze interface has improved, I find myself still wanting a stand-alone tool not bound to a browser; a lack of query tabs is a big miss ...

"Easy way to do ad-hoc and saved queries of large data"
What do you like best about Qubole? I like the standard SQL syntax for queries and the quick table display to see columns available. What do you dislike about Qubole? Queries can be slow so be sure to limit the amount of data searched via date ranges. What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you? I use Qubole about once a week to answer questions from management, find areas that are failing, validate new features are working, and see user behavior

"Clunky UX"
What do you like best about Qubole? I like saved queries & history feature. I very often need to reference results elsewhere What do you dislike about Qubole? -sorting output only sorts on first 100 rows, not on all of the data. -downloading data is buried in a dropdown -its not terribly clear when you are editing an existing query vs creating a new one. What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you? analyzing volume, quality of data on my website. i have increased the ...

"Great data query tool"
What do you like best about Qubole? It is a good tool to query data from s3. Its is easy to use. What do you dislike about Qubole? its little slower as compared to athena. Recommendations to others considering Qubole: try out POC with Athena. What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you? We query petabytes of data from S3. The queries are complex and fetch heavy data from s3 buckets. qubole provides a good tool to achieve this.
