The New Digital Experience - Quark Express 2020
What do you like best? QuarkXPress 20230 is the easiest way possible to create a website. This means that, for the first time, you can go straight from your print dfesign using your brand and your fonts and colours, to fully functioning, clean web content. Quark have been developing the advancements in print design to digital since 2016 to stay well ahead of the competition. They have buiolt theior own PDF engine which does away with the need for another application to make PDF's ...

Einfach gut.
What do you like best? What do you dislike? In der Vergangenheit gab es immer wieder Versionen, die nicht ausgibig auf Stabilität und Performance getestet wurden. Das war mitunter sehr ärgerlich, irritierte Anwender ...

Great for Print, not so good for Apps, Web and Tec Support
What do you like best? Print Capabilities are unmatched, InDesign is a blunt hatchet. What do you dislike? Crashes when loading in catalina, requiring fresh start, multiple times. Terrible Tec Support, total waste of time. Insane Web building tools, concepts and implementation, unusable for web/apps most of the time. Make a Dropdown menu targeting an interior window containing another Dropdown menu, in your dreams. You could make it more unusable if you tried, but really! What ...

A highly acceptable alternative to InDesign
What do you like best? QXP does not require a subscription. Updates are expensive, but old versions can run for a long time. (Much like ID before subs.) What do you dislike? The GUI feels a little "non-native". This has the affect of making the app *feel* unstable although in fact I have experienced very little instability. Recommendations to others considering the product: Try the trial, but give time to learn the differences. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

QuarkXPress for Book Production
What do you like best? The ruler features for accurate layout between pages. What do you dislike? I dislike how long the app takes to open. Recommendations to others considering the product: For book publication, I recommend QuarkXPress. I've seen other creatives using other programs that looked cumbersome. I did not see those problems with QuarkXPress. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am writing 12 Art Project Booklets in ...

QuarkXpress is still the BEST despite the heavy competition!
What do you like best? Ease of use considering the tools and it is fast even on an older computer. What do you dislike? I would like to see API access to macOS dictionaries, Metal, CoreData and CoreImage, etc. built in. no need to use 3rd party plugins. I am a graduate student and I would also like to see a scientific library plugin to automate reference creation to the resources, ie, Turabian, Chicago, MLA. For instance: Papers, Readcube, etc. Recommendations to others ...

QuarkXPress Power User
What do you like best? I have been a dedicated QuarkXPress user since 2003. I had to learn the platform for my job as a graphic artist and have been a power user since QuarkXPress5. In addition to my current use of the platform to complete research papers and build curriculum, I've designed hundreds of marketing and sales flyers for companies across the globe. In my industry, the go-to has become Adobe InDesign, but I still prefer Quark for single page to multiple page documents. It is ...

Pretty Full Featured - Minus Data Merge
What do you like best? I like that I can do weekly newsletter with ease because of text styles. It is possible to put text on curves. I love that I can edit images simply from the context menu or more fully from my chosen editing software. It exports to PDF nicely with options and I can create tables. It also imports PDF with unknown fonts without distortion. What do you dislike? No data merge. On one of my computers it runs really rough and slow. I have looked into data merge and you ...

Quark Spoiled Me since 1993
What do you like best? Quark has provided a steady stream of enhancements ever since I started using it—back when it was the only serious layout and design software available. What do you dislike? The downside for me is the upside for others. It has too many features and options I don't use. Used to be I'd get the new Quark upgrade, do the new tutorial, and I'd be fluid within three days. Now I just read about the new features, and if it's something I'd use, I simply find and learn ...
