"Best editing software"

What do you like best about ProWritingAid? ProWritingAid is incredibly feature rich. You can choose what kind of language (business, casual, academic, etc.) and the suggestions are usually extremely on point. The software is especially great at identifying filler words and helping to streamline copy plus of course any typos! What do you dislike about ProWritingAid? The flipside of the filler words is that sometimes you want softer language and ProWritingAid will flag a lot of that language. ...

"An AI Editor every writer needs as a supplement to human editing"

What do you like best about ProWritingAid? I love that it integrates so easily with my writing programs, especially since they have recently improved their Scrivener integration. Since commas are my nemesis, PWA helps enormously with making my writing clean. I use it mostly for grammar and punctuation, but I also use it sometimes for style, such as finding repetitive sentence starts, passive sentences, and crisper wording. I love that it gives suggestions for alternatives when it comes to ...

Love this software

Love this software, and it has made me a better writer. This software has saved me hundreds of euros on editing my books. (Please don’t think I don’t recommend human editing, as I do I have three editors, lol, but they can get into the nitty gritty of my writing without worrying about the basics.) I am dyslexic. I find writing, or I did traumatic. Words… wow, I hated them. They caused endless frustration, made me feel stupid. For years, I made up stories, and they needed to come out. Fear ...

Poor Practice

This company uses a pop up that you can’t get rid of unless you (1) sign up or (2) use task manager. Pretty poor practice from a seemingly reputable organisation.

Excellent tool for professional writers and editors

ProWritingAid is the best cloud-based machine-learning grammar-checking and copyediting solution on the market. They had a lifetime deal some time back. I was impressed enough to buy one and I never regretted it.The thing about such cloud-based solutions is that they are slow in processing lengthy documents. The reason is because of the application of machine learning on cloud servers to predict the incorrect parts. Computational requirements go up tremendously with lengthy documents and ...

Has crashed my Outlook intermittently…

Has crashed my Outlook intermittently ever since the very first use.Have lost some very important work when it has crashed too.Support not much help... they seem to recognise it's a known issue and tell me not use the Outlook add-in and use the online version instead but that isn't addressing the underlying issue. It also stops me from using Outlook completely whilst it's checking documents - maybe for up to a minute at a time so as an acclaimed productivity aid, it's useless.you should be ...

I recently tested a trial version of…

I recently tested a trial version of grammar checker. Compared to other tools, this one is a bit tricky to use. But I'm almost used to it and use it on an ongoing basis along with other grammar tools. You can use the free version further, but there are restrictions on word checking, i.e. if you have a large text, then you will need to split it and check it in several parts.
