Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Prismatic is an embedded integration platform (embedded iPaaS) designed primarily for B2B SaaS companies that need to build and deliver integrations within their own products. The platform combines low-code tools, developer-friendly APIs, and embedded workflow builders so teams can create integrations faster and deploy them at scale. It also handles ...Read more

Prismatic pros and cons

  • Built-in infrastructure handles authentication, scaling, and deployment across customers.

  • Allows SaaS products to offer integrations directly inside their application interface for customers.

  • Helps SaaS companies ship integrations significantly faster by managing infrastructure and reusable components.

  • Teams can build integrations using drag-and-drop tools or full programming depending on technical needs.

  • Users note that the platform has fewer ready-made connectors compared with certain integration platforms.

  • Many implementations rely on technical teams to build and maintain integrations.

What do you like best about Prismatic? * Quickly integrate new integrations to our SaaS * Wide variety of pre-built components to develop faster * Good Developer Experience (DX) and User Experience (UX) * Built-in monitoring, logs and audit tools * Fast and helpful responses from the Prismatic team What do you dislike about Prismatic? * Some limitations in the mapping process between 2 software * DX issues when making loops/paging * Not fully translated end-to-end * Ran into a few issues ...

"Prismatic is a great system and a great partner to work with!"

What do you like best about Prismatic? The solution is modern, simple to use and well thought through. Their team have been phenomenal in terms of their support. In the short time that we have been using it we have seen countless improvements as well as new connectors that open up new opportunities for us. Their simple, per customer cost structure also make it really easy to work with them. What do you dislike about Prismatic? We have not found anything we dislike. Prismatic, like most ...

"Prismatic as a integration platform"

What do you like best about Prismatic? I've used Prismatic to implement data integrations to other platforms. This has made it possible to integrate with external platforms without significant developer help. The developer relation/support has been amazing despite the time difference. What do you dislike about Prismatic? As a developer, I would love more insight into the platform code to debug issues. What problems is Prismatic solving and how is that benefiting you? Data integrations.

"Rock solid embedded integration platform"

What do you like best about Prismatic? We switched our integrations over to Prismatic after having reliability issues with the other platforms that we used in the past (IFTTT, Zapier). We find Prismatic to be rock solid in terms of reliability, and their team has been incredibly helpful. We also like that we can setup our own integrations that tie into their existing library of integrations. What do you dislike about Prismatic? Prismatic's integration designer could be a bit more ...

"Use Prismatic to define and deploy customer specific data integrations"

What do you like best about Prismatic? We really like that it is a non-coder-friendly wrapper around a cloud-function environment. This lets non-coders design integrations and schedule them to run when needed. It also provides the necessary complexity when required. Our team contemplated building it ourselves but it fell outside of our strategic scope as a company. The total offering is super, and great customer service too. What do you dislike about Prismatic? We have been able to solve ...

"Intuitive to use and quick to implement"

What do you like best about Prismatic? The documentation is easy to understand and follow. The customer support has been superb and always helps us resolve our issues. What do you dislike about Prismatic? Sometimes the application UI is a little slow as you click around. Some of the APIs we use weren't implemented as standard component functions. There's a limit on how long processes can run which makes large data processes tricky. What problems is Prismatic solving and how is that ...

"Great Product to Enable Development Teams"

What do you like best about Prismatic? Prismatic is layered so you can interact at the level you need. That could be using the pre built components or accessing the underlying code to always be able to achieve what you need without the integration platform getting in the way which happens with others. The Embedded components are fantastic and make providing Integrations as a SaaS business super easy. The quality of the connectors is also high ensuring that if you need to use an Adapter it ...

"Prismatic doesn't limit you to drag and drop components"

What do you like best about Prismatic? My primary concern with embedded integrations platforms is the ceiling imposed by the solution. How complex of an integration will my team be able to create? We chose Prismatic because it allows you to integrate custom JavaScript code into an integration so easily. If the drag and drop components don't provide just what we need you just drop a code block into the flow. You don't have to leave the editing environment which speeds up writing and testing ...
