What do you like best about PostgreSQL? I have used this database for a number of years now and have to say it gives one the most bang for one's buck. It is extremely powerful, and flexible with the addons provided, hstore, jsonb, ltree etc. its by default powerful, so if you're looking for a simple database this is not for you. This database is still fairly easy to use, but it leaves out a lot of things that are default to mysql (mariadb)
