Good calling and SMS tool in good price

What do you like best? It gets the work done at a lower price point than its competitor twilio. What do you dislike? The API does need modification in terms of adaptability and adding some important functions What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Sending out communication, mostly SMS, to our clients to reach out to them.

Heading into right diretion

What do you like best? I really liked their pricing for SMS and outbound calls, which is extremely cheaper than other service providers. Call quality was more or less good. What do you dislike? Calls drop sometimes when you continuously talk for more than 1 hour, which is the area where they need to improve. Recommendations to others considering the product Definitely recommend it. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Using it for ...

A few minor upgrades needed in the API

What do you like best? I really like the services they are offering at such low cost. SMS cost is extremely low compared to market rates. I mostly have seen SMS services in action, I bet voice call quality and charges will be low as well. And It is providing services in all of the country where our clients are based. SMS delivery is reliable and can be tracked as well. What do you dislike? I don't like the how SMS sender's details appears on the receiver's end. Many times clients ignored ...

Automated voice calling made easy

What do you like best? We mainly use Plivo's voice API in our web and android app. It has a very simple integration process - we generate an HTTP request to Plivo through the app and then Plivo generates an outbound phone call to our customer. It has an impressive geographical outreach too. About the interface, it's quite intuitive with a native look. What do you dislike? Although Plivo has an extensive list of features, we've experienced a bit of lag in call conferencing and bulk calling ...

Saved a great amount of money

What do you like best? Plivo connects you with your loved ones. It is providing its services in over 200 countries not that it really matters to everyone but it is effective collectively. I used Plivo when I was on my intern in US. I used friends' phone, their skype credits until I found Plivo. Every other alternative was so expensive. What do you dislike? Call quality was upto mark. Call dropped few times but it might be network problem. They are charging some amount of money on incoming ...

Cheaper SMS and voice calls.

What do you like best? One of the best features is that the SDK is available in almost every language, hence implementation part is very smooth and easy. Quality of calling and messaging is upto the mark, there's no question there. It's comparatively cheaper than it's competitor Twillio which is almost exactly the same tool. What do you dislike? A significant amount of work needs to be done on their API in terms of flexibility and missing critical functionalities. At times even simple ...

Money Saver

What do you like best? Pliov is providing same services as Skype at a much cheaper rates. Sending an SMS is at $0.004 compared to 11.2ยข(~$0.1. Call rates are also much cheaper compared to other carriers/skype. Voice quality is more or less same as skype. What do you dislike? Inbound call rates are applicable which is really disappointing. So now I have to use skype for inbound calls and plivo for outgoing and SMS. Inbound call rates have to be cut out. What business problems are you ...

Reliable SMS Service

What do you like best? We use Plivo mainly for its SMS API. It has a feature which lets us send thousands of A2P messages for two-factor authentication and system alerts very quickly. Also, we use it for branding by customizing our sender ID while sending messages to our customers. It's great for app distribution too, by sending download links directly to mobile phones or allowing users to share the app via text messaging. What do you dislike? Pricing is a bit of an issue, but it's still ...

Automated calls made easy.

What do you like best? Best part about Plivo is that you can make calls to almost every country and send SMS too without any restriction as you can use it's multi language text to speech feature. You can have different automated response for different functionalities at relatively cheaper prices when compared to other similar services like Twilio. What do you dislike? The software reliability isn't that great since it has quite a few bugs but since most of the code is open sourced, people ...

Like Twilio, but cheaper and open source

What do you like best? Plivo's APIs are pretty much the same as Twilio's, but what I really like about their approach is that the telephony stack is open source. So while you can start out quickly on their cloud hosted platform, if you hit scale you can deploy their stack with a network provider and get wholesale prices. Their cloud hosted offering is also cheaper than Twilio. I haven't used their voice capabilities, but the SMS sending service ticked all the boxes with reliable delivery, ...
