Great construction & designer tool
What do you like best? I like being able to download a plan set via the web and app and be able to take real time notes, pictures, etc. when at the job site. It makes expansion projects much easier to use being able to look at previous notes. What do you dislike? I haven't used it that much but it would be nice when you download a PDF that it would show the pictures and notes that were published on the app, Recommendations to others considering the product: N/A What problems are ...

PlanGrid Drawing Management
What do you like best? That it is cloud based, accessible by mobile devices. Keeps track of RFI changes on drawings. We also like that plangrid has started integrating a 3D model, this has been used by our on field staff. What do you dislike? When new drawings are issued and drawings details move around the RFI clouds do not move around wtih that specific item. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Keeping track of RFI changes and ...

Use of software
What do you like best? We started using PlanGrid not for the propose for construction but to document the Life Safety Features within the building once the users have occupied the building. We love the simple features for documenting issues (Task). The ablity to make stamps and place the identified issue (stamp) on the floor plan was what we were looking for. The features that PlanGrid gives to the user to generate a report in the field and email the issue or multiable issues are great. ...

What do you like best? Common access to current drawings and issues for the field and detailing team. What do you dislike? Markup tools needs to be more advanced. We have to download to Bluebeam to markup in more detail. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Communication with the team and making sure wrong drawings aren't used for install.

Plangrid User
What do you like best? Plangrid is great for reading drawings on an ipad and real time updating. What do you dislike? I dislike using plangrid for RFIs. You can only have one person that can answer the RFI and multiple reviewers, which I strongly dislike. Also, sometimes the RFI's distribution does not attach a pdf copy of the RFI and has a hard time attaching jpeg pictures. Recommendations to others considering the product: I recommend plangrid for distributing drawings to ...

Document control between VDC team and Field team
What do you like best? I really liked the auto naming tool. Saved a lot of time when uploading files and revising files. I also liked how it kept up with all the revisions. In the construction field there is a lot of changes that we have to manage and this tool helps a lot. What do you dislike? The auto naming tool!! haha. Seems like it worked the best when you only uploaded a few files. If you upload more than 20-30 files seems like some would misread the auto naming zone and would ...

Plangrid is better than bluebeam
What do you like best? Easy to use, fast PDF response and loading, intuitive UI. Fast project start-up. What do you dislike? I wish it had a more robust mark-up set like Bluebeam. I would liek to be able to track mark-ups accross PDFs to ensure QC set comment have been accepted. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Portable estick set, quick access mobility.
