Great Application for All

What do you like best? the usability of it. Very user-friendly and accommodating to a changing market and ideas What do you dislike? It's still very new to a lot of field people so it's sometimes hard to get them to understand it and use it. Recommendations to others considering the product This an easy and very trainable product. I believe that this is where the industry is heading and more thing will be on tablets. It helps with communication from office to field. What business ...

Plangrid - Software and App as it should be.

What do you like best? The App has continually been improved providing great easy to use enhancement and functions. It's a great tool to track punchlist items and I have been using it more and more to document existing conditions on new projects. Looking for to the next round of enhancements. What do you dislike? Really there is not much to dislike, maybe for a smaller company such as mine the larger monthly plans are a little expensive, but I just dislike monthly fees in general. ...

Architect's best app

What do you like best? The best thing plangrid offers is the automatic hyperlinked drawing sections, elevations and details. Besides the fact that this makes site visits more productive by having the opportunity to bring every drawing availalbe for a specific project in a tablet or even phone. What do you dislike? The fact that only users that pay a monthly fee can use the app productively, it hinders the ability to share with a projects contractor, design team or even clients through ...

Great way to organize documents and keep the field up to date on the most recent RFI's and changes.

What do you like best? I like the document viewing. After you add the document initially you can then add markups, takeoffs, and RFI links directly to the document which keeps the field on the same page. Then if you get an updated version and upload it, It recognizes that this is the same page as one that was previously uploaded and stacks them. What do you dislike? RFI Log need to be able to be backdated. Recommendations to others considering the product There has not ever been a ...

Plan Grid in Architecture

What do you like best? The punchlist feature is very easy to use, and easy to publish to contractors. Depending on the subscription you have with plan grid, you could keep the entire projects revision sheets on your account. This helps when doing the punchlist, because you can see exactly when something was revised during the project. You can upload multiple attachments in plan grid, that don't count in your sheet limit. This only includes .pdfs, but you can upload as many submittals, ...

Its greatest strength is also its weakness...

What do you like best? PlanGrid is a very accessible, easy to use platform which allows users to quickly and easily jump into the latest set of plans, create and distribute punch lists, and push drawing revisions out in real time. What do you dislike? PlanGrid's simplicity is also its greatest weakness. It struggles to be anything but a document storage platform, and there are companies out there who are doing very similar things on much more complex and dynamic platforms. Frustrating ...

Best in class mobile document management

What do you like best? Offline access, fast page opening, and relatively clear UI What do you dislike? Pricing keeps creeping up, they recently got rid of free web accounts (which I used as a selling point to the subcontractors on my projects with no warning. If your invoiced account runs out in the middle of a project, you lose ALL access to your documents until you get it updated. That can REALLY suck if you're on a busy job Recommendations to others considering the product My typical ...
