"PerfectIt is ABSOLUTELY fantastic."

What do you like best about PerfectIt? As someone who spends most of my working days knee-deep in contracts, PerfectIt has been an invaluable part of my workflow since the first day I installed it. It helps me to ensure consistency in my documents and catch errors that are often very easy to miss when being proof-read by people.

What do you like best about PerfectIt? That it allows me to use my editing time efficiently. Running PerfectIt is one step in my editing processes. It helps me clean up a document (i.e., remove unnecessary spaces, check consistency of hyphenation and spelling before I even being reading it) so that by the time I'm ready to focus on editing, a lot of the minor things have already been taken care of, and they are not a distraction.

What do you like best about PerfectIt? I've been using PerfectIt for 3 or 4 years now, and I can't imagine ever going back to editing without it -- it has become an indispensable part of my process. It does a great job of spotting inconsistencies in a text, especially book-length manuscripts. The customizable style sheets are invaluable, and so is the CMOS add-on option. Beyond its functionality, customer service is exceptional and the software is very affordable.

What do you like best about PerfectIt? PerfectIt does a stellar job of enforcing uniformity throughout and catching common, but easy to miss errors. My work needs very little polishing once done.

What do you like best about PerfectIt? When I'm copyediting a book, I always start by running PerfectIt: it shows me where issues are and lets me start building a style sheet quickly. It can be running in the background while I'm doing other tasks. I use it again at the end of the job to clean up loose ends, easily eliminate extra characters and spaces, etc. The recent integration with Chicago Manual of style is a huge plus: I'm generally using Chicago style but can easily make exceptions ...

What do you like best about PerfectIt? PerfectIt is extremely user-friendly and since they added the Chicago Manual of Style option, it has become one of my go-to tools to use. The fact that it will also show you which rule it is using to flag each selection is a huge benefit.

What do you like best about PerfectIt? I love the comparison features for words that sound alike but are spelled differently, and the feature that removes all of the extra spaces! Hands down, this software is superior to all others now that they have the ability to connect with Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS).

What do you like best about PerfectIt? PerfectIt goes far beyond the editing and checking tools integrated within commonly-used word processors. It does behave like AI and can detect when a term such as climate-change mitigation needs hyphenating and when climate change does not, giving the writer the choice of amending a phrase or leaving it as it is.
