Was unable to get most of my clients verified in order to run payroll for them. Currently working with someone in Patriot to get refunded for the billing I was charged for clients I was unable to take care of for payroll in Patriot software.

My big problem was that we want to be able to upload the hours without inputting them each week. Other than that one mission critical issue, it seemed like a good platform.

Customer service/Accommodations

The customer service I receive when I contact Patriot Software either through the chat feature or via telephone call it is typically poor customer service. Unknowledgeable reps, not through in their explaining, even being hung up on due to the rep not knowing the answer to specific questions. I chose Patriot to run my companies payroll because the pricing was reasonable. In turn for the reasonable rates the customer service lacks terribly. Missing Key Functions

There are key functions that are missing; for example, making a shipping order/packing slip, having multiple jobs under one customer, or applying a credit from a vendor to the account. The layout was decent however the ease of use could be improved.

Very Little Help Setting Up

I never had payroll before now and wanted someone to setup and pay. Everything I asked them they said I had to ask a professional for advice because they were not allowed to. No question I asked had anything to do with professional advice it was all just technical setup questions. Basically had to research everything myself and give them the answer.

Patriot indicated that they will help me with setting up the software. They were not able to answer my questions regarding local taxes or workers comp. They seem to be like other software companies. No difference.

Wasted two days trying to set up…

Wasted two days trying to set up payroll software. The most user UNFRIENDLY setup ever. Worked with two other payroll companies in the past and never went through this kind of time suck setting it up. Final straw was trying to change the business address on the Form 8655 because it was incorrect. Online rep kept repeating herself over and over again that I could just resubmit the form. The software is ok - setting up is the pits

The software is ok. The real issue is setting it up is not easy. I moved to another software package and the setting up of the account was much easier.
