Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Pardot is Essential to our Workflow

What do you like best? Pardot makes it very easy to keep track of our prospects and leads. Truth be told, there are probably numerous features we haven't even scratched the surface of, but even so it fulfills most of our needs for a sales and automation database. What do you dislike? Sometimes the inability to customize things in Pardot can be frustrating. Apart from that, just making it easier to take full advantage of the product's features would be great - a little more ...

Very smart software

What do you like best? Definitely automation rules and dynamic list segmentation which helps make it easier for both my sales team and prospects. Also, the in-depth visibility into individual prospect behaviors. What do you dislike? The social posting could be improved by letting you know if a post character count will be sufficient after the url is shortened. I'd like negative inline filtering (free form and tags on the prospect table. Segmentation needs to be deeper but my ...

Pardot was a disaster- DON'T DO IT!

What do you like best? There were lots of promises up front, but once we started using it did not live up to claims. What do you dislike? We tried to use Pardot to automate an outbound lead generation process we were using Outlook to achieve. When we moved the process over to Pardot, our e-mail open rate dropped in half. This was mostly due to switching from text based e-mail to .html (almost all of Pardot functionality cannot be used with text based e-mail. We tried to duplicate the ...

I want to like Pardot more, but it lacks key features today

What do you like best? Setting up connectors is straightforward. The ability to create customer roles for Pardot users is nice. The way the email editor keeps snapshots of changes so that you can roll back to previous versions is a nice-to-have. The support chat feature is great and support is very responsive. Files - file management feature. Nice simple drag-and-drop. Google Analytics Connectors - work very well. Adds organic lead source to Salesforce with no effort. What do you ...

The BEST Marketing Platform/CRM Software available.

What do you like best? Pardot features seamless integration into Salesforce, and acts as a total marketing CRM/ media platform with the ability to host/launch web and email campaigns, manage leads and contacts, and even track web activity amongst those people in your database. This is particularly effective for inside sales reps or business development staff, as they can identify exactly who in your current database is interested in what specific segments of your business, and identify ...

I love Pardot!

What do you like best? I've been looking for a reliable way to integrate and automate marketing for some time, ideally in a way that would work seamlessly with SalesForce. I've tried every product I've heard of, and despite early enthusiasm for them all, Pardot is the only one that has even come close to living up to the hype. What do you dislike? There are a few things I hope they'll improve. The one at the top of my list is the social media management tools. The UI is not ideal, and ...
