Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Easy to use

What do you like best? It's easy to use. Customer support has been responsive and helpful. What do you dislike? The combining of contacts, and leads as prospects. Would be nice to sort these out separately. Recommendations to others considering the product More automation, and cost effective when compared to Marketo. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Email marketing campaigns are streamlined and ability to report on ...

Simply Lacking Fundamental Features

What do you like best? It's clearly well integrated with Salesforce.com CRM. What do you dislike? The biggest thing to note is that Pardot it just marketing automation and doesn't have a blog portion to it so you'd still have to have your blog in something like Wordpress. Pardot doesn't offer any top of the funnel content tools and this is a piece of successful inbound marketing. While Pardot does offer a landing page tool, it doesn't have any SEO tools built-in. It also lacks lead ...

Really like how Salesforce and Pardot work together to get marketing needs shipped

What do you like best? How they work together was really well thought through. Doesn't ever feel like i'm lost on what to do next or where to find features. Sends information quickly even when uploading large files that would slow down other platforms. Comes with a lot of templates. What do you dislike? The data syncing can sometimes cause errors or take longer than expected to update. Hope they improve that aspect of the software going forward so it doesn't remain annoying. Adding ...

Pardot is the only tool you need for lead nurturing and customer outreach

What do you like best? I love that once I set up Pardot and connected it with salesforce.com, it automatically scores leads based on customer activity, without any additional attention. Pardot is so easy to use to create marketing campaigns and automatically associates opportunity revenue with each campaign, so that we can tell what kind of marketing is working, and what is not. What do you dislike? The email creation tool is a bit rudimentary. An interface such as the one mailchimp ...

Pardot Ideal for Marketing Automation, Especially w/ Salesforce-enabled Teams

What do you like best? Excellent tool for creating and managing segmented lists. Offers both what is called "static" and "dynamic" lists that help you manage any number of list segments for marketing campaigns. Drip campaigns are a great way to manage prospects through your sales cycle.
