Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Pardot does pretty much everything

What do you like best? Pardot lets me do almost everything, from automating lead assignments, sending mass emails through nurturing programs, and creating landing pages and forms for PPC campaigns, to tracking pipeline revenue. What do you dislike? While it's incredibly robust, Pardot's reporting capabilities are slightly lacking. There's a one crucial report that we've been asking for and (understandably have been told that many more users would have to request it for it to become ...

A tool that works for me rather than me working the tool is a great tool :)

What do you like best? The ability to create drip campaigns to keep in touch with prospects so I don't have to manually email them to keep them engaged. I also like knowing which prospects are active and which ones opened up which emails. This allows me to follow up with specific emails based on their click events. What do you dislike? Filtering needs to be revamped as well as Searching. I find it hard to do custom searches or custom filtering. Recommendations to others considering ...

Powerful yet easy to use. Great UI

What do you like best? Pardot is fairly easy to use for both email design, automation and analytics. It's easy to set up and offer some great connector for stuff like Salesforce, GoToMeeting and Webinars. Pardot is the 3rd marketing automation tool that I used. I was afraid not to be able use some advanced features that I got used to but I quickly realized Pardot has everything that I needed. Additionally, its user interface was intuitive. It was simply the matter of days for me to get ...

Pardot has helped to improve our marketing automation, salesforce native is the way forward

What do you like best? We use it for our mass email sends and scoring of prospects. The daily prospects reports are a quick and easy win for our Biz Dev team to follow-up and qualify. What do you dislike? it is a slight personal dig at Salesforce, but navigation is not always completely straightforward and there seem to be multiple ways to get to the same point. I guess in a nutshell intuitiveness compared to some cloud based applications we use is not as good. Recommendations to ...

Limited functionality - not as intuitive as it looks

What do you like best? Salesforce integration is relatively straightforward. The reporting is easy to view, but not very comprehensive. What do you dislike? This product falls short in a number of areas, Marketo and Eloqua are better alternatives. Recommendations to others considering the product Don't do it. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Email marketing - setting up drip nurture campaigns, landing pages, etc.

Pardot is a Great Product

What do you like best? Simplicity of use and integrations with Salesforce. It allows us to segment all of our contacts in our database based on different criteria to deliver targeted messages and automate messages we send to specific groups based on any number of criteria. It also connects with Salesforce so reps can see all of the different engagements a prospect has had with any of our marketing, from email opens, to forms filled out and web pages visited. What do you dislike? Needs ...
