Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Pardot pros and cons
Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.
Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.
Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.
Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.
Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.
Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Good but lots of room for improvement...
What do you like best? Pardot is great for creating email campaigns based on user actions, behaviours, traits, or other triggers. What do you dislike? -not 100% aligned with Salesforce -not a lot of out of the box solutions, for example simple things like double confirmed opt in for CASL compliance -tracking and lead attribution (is doable but requires a lot of work and manual spot-checks/fixes Recommendations to others considering the product We went with Pardot because we're ...

Great way to communicate to prospects and notify sales
What do you like best? One of the great benefits of Pardot is the Engagement Studio. This way you can schedule out nurture emails and also set notifications so that if the recipient takes action, you can notify the sales rep to reach out. The grading and scoring also allow us to rank what leads are the hottest and within our target audience so that we can create lists for sales to prioritize. What do you dislike? How you go about setting up an email campaign isn't as intuitive as ...

Pardot: Not the Easiest to Use but does the job
What do you like best? Even if the functionality you require isn't available they have a lot of work around tricks to get what you need done. The automation rules and marketing automation are what we use most and are very happy with the software. What do you dislike? The software is not the easiest to learn how to use. Enhancements like the easy email editor make it seem easy for those who don't know html to use. However, this often results in very messy html on the back end. What ...

Strong B2B Tool
What do you like best? Easy to use interface . Setup is common sense. Testing abilities and email editing is reasonable. What do you dislike? No option to setup multiple brands. System was built for one brand only. If you manage multiple brands you'll have to create a folder structure and make sure everyone in your company follows that same structure. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure you're using it for B2B and for one or two brands max. Salesforce seems ...

Pardot is sufficient
What do you like best? Pardot's Salesforce integration is very good since they are now owned by Salesforce. It is helpful to have Pardot at all Salesforce conventions, and useful if you have Salesforce. What do you dislike? I do not like the form minimums that you reach, support is not call based and cases take a while to complete. They do not have good dynamic testing or A/B testing. Recommendations to others considering the product Pardot is good for the basics, but other software ...
