Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Very Pleased with Pardot

What do you like best? I like their knowledge base the best. There are so many different aspects of learning a marketing automation platform and I've taught myself mostly everything from their Knowledge Base articles. What do you dislike? Their support is usually at capacity or offline, which is not great if you're trying to solve something quickly. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Automating emails on a larger scale through ...

Pardot over estimated and under supported by Salesforce. Too much trouble for small companies

What do you like best? Basic marketing automation functionalities such as forms, sequence of emails and workflows. Ability to tag marketing assets in the solution to easily find them What do you dislike? In over 3 years since it was purchased, the Pardot integration with Salesforce is sub-standard compared to its competitors. For example custom Salesforce fields have to be re-created, mapped and values synched to Pardot which requires 3 extra steps and easily confuses the user. ...

Easy to use, but needs advance features

What do you like best? I've been using Pardot for almost 2 years and so far don't have many complaints except some issues with the forms. They still use some old school iFrame forms that are not compatible with some browsers. I hope they will come with form integrations in the future. What do you dislike? - Limited form integration - Missing some advanced features What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? - Email Marketing - Lead ...

They are thankful for SFDC

What do you like best? Simply put, the only thing worthwhile is that SFDC owns them and the integration What do you dislike? Very clunky to use, took multiple training sessions for the team to understand how to use it. Recommendations to others considering the product It's decent as long as SFDC doesn't purchase a better email marketing tool. Then that new tool will get the support and money, while Pardot goes by the waste side. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Great data, not very user-friendly

What do you like best? The reporting and integration with Salesforce makes it easy to take action after you send an email/to pull in lists from Salesforce. What do you dislike? Building templates and emails requires significant HTML knowledge. On email platforms we used previously, I could build a simple email in about 30 minutes and switch out sections easily. Pardot is less flexible and forces you to work within the template you chose rather than pulling blocks in and out as needed. ...

Great support and customer success

What do you like best? Pardot's service - either live chat support, email support, knowledge base, or webinars - is incredible and allows anyone with varying levels of comfort to learn the tool and find solutions for any issue they encounter. They have the best service and support I have every come across professionally. What do you dislike? The lack of reporting. I wish there was more functionality so I could run an actual report and compare apples to apples Recommendations to others ...
