Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Makes me look like a rock star!

What do you like best? CRM integration combined with real-time analytics make visibility into what our customers are interested in, combined with ROI so we can better focus our efforts internally. What do you dislike? I suppose all systems like this are similar, but you have to upgrade to get the full features it has available. Nothing really to dislike but this comment was required. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? This is ...

Pardot is Disappointing

What do you like best? Nothing at all I am so disappointed - the support alone has gone way downhill. What do you dislike? Expensive to add more contacts and/or features. Very poor connection to Salesforce database Recommendations to others considering the product With more years of use I realize that Pardot is severely lacking mostly in the connection with Salesforce and I have found customer service to be more inconsistent and less willing to help. What business problems are you ...

Robust Automation Tool

What do you like best? The best thing about Pardot is just how much you can do with it. The setup process can be a bit daunting, but the support team is there to walk you through any and all questions you have. Many of the tools we see the most benefit from are great because they require very little upkeep once they are set up, but continually provide value as they continue to pull in great data from our website and email marketing. What do you dislike? Being such a robust tool, there ...

As simple or as complicated as you want it

What do you like best? We use Pardot's email, form and landing page tools to create targeted messages for our customers. Depending on how complicated you want a campaign to be, you could have it all built within a morning and be pressing send in the afternoon. What do you dislike? Whilst the landing pages are easy to create, they are sometimes limited in their appearance. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I work in a small ...

Easy to set up and use, super simple connection with Salesforce

What do you like best? The integration with Salesforce is EXTREMELY easy - unlike any other system I've ever had to integrate in the past. It truly takes less than an hour. What do you dislike? It doesn't have as robust of features/functionality as tools like Marketing Cloud or Eloqua for rules based decisions. It also has a somewhat small limit on the number of automations for our package, 100, when you really want to do robust lead scoring/grading or automations it eats those up ...

Lots of bells and whistles

What do you like best? Pardot was very easily integrated into our daily process and we were able to move out of our old system very easily. What do you dislike? The initial integration with Salesforce could have been tighter. There has been progress but it still feels like two very different systems. Recommendations to others considering the product Understand how it really integrates with Salesforce. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Great Software Overall

What do you like best? I like the seamless integration with many 3rd party applications such as webex, olark, and data.com and especially Salesforce What do you dislike? The Pardot/Salesforce support is severely lacking. It often times is very hard to reach them Recommendations to others considering the product Get it implemented correctly. Pardot is easy to use if it is set up completely and correctly. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...
