Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Pardot Review

What do you like best? You are able to track in real time. It is easy to see in a snapshot where the user is going. What do you dislike? Implementation can be a bit of a bear but once up and running it is fairly seamless. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are able to track all leads actions in real time. This is important because our business moves quickly.

Pardot Getting Better All The Time

What do you like best? We are very happy with the Engage Studio. It cuts down the production time and allows us to manage and create more campaigns. What do you dislike? I wish they had better lead attribution, so we could track all the tactics that influenced a lead. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Lead Nurturing, Lead Forms, Email, Drip Campaigns, Landing Pages, and Lead Scoring

Marketing Coordinator

What do you like best? I really like how everything communicates well with SalesForce, especially lists. What do you dislike? The calendar isn't nearly as usable as I would like. If your schedule moves around a lot, it can be hard to keep up with it in Pardot's calendar. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Email reporting from lists is great, especially since it communicates with SalesForce.

Not the most user friendly

What do you like best? It is good to have a lead-centric tool as opposed to Salesforce, which is so many things at once. What do you dislike? There were too many steps to take for each lead. I ended up having to still log in to Saleforce to complete the cycle for each lead. We had a lot of trouble internally trying to set up integration. We ended up moving away from using it as much. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Wanted a ...

Using Pardot for Email

What do you like best? Saved emails for quick sending. Email open notifications. Website contact us form. What do you dislike? Working away from Outlook. The automation is great when running email campaigns but I still prefer to personalize every email. Recommendations to others considering the product If you are using SalesForce there is no reason why you shouldn't use Pardot. What business problems are you solving with the product? Great as a light CRM tool

What do you like best? I like how you can drill down into a prospect pretty well, and the interface is quite nice. It's easy to use and I like how you can make lists easily, have automation rules, create emails, send test emails, store files and images etc. What do you dislike? When creating emails, editing the HTML takes you to a separate screen. This means you cant see any changes you make in real time (unlike something like Litmus, where when you make a change to the html, the ...
