Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

Easy Salesforce Integration and ROI from emarketing

What do you like best? The ability to easily identify customer segments and customize e-marketing messages to ensure the biggest return on the program. The tracking elements incorporated into the program make it easy to inform our salesforce of opportunities allowing us to capitalize our efforts. It also integrates very easily into Salesforce which allowed us to get up and running quickly. What do you dislike? Depending on the customer segment, you need to spend a little more time fine ...

The best CRM, the worst email tool.

What do you like best? The CRM tool and automation sets are amazing. What do you dislike? The email tool is basic and rigid. It should just be drag and drop like Mailchimp. Just literally make it that. Recommendations to others considering the product Don't jump in too fast. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? CRM and inbound lead management with SalesForce sync is amazing.

Lagging feature set and worsening support.

What do you like best? Pardot does simplify some functions, such as email delivery, to the point that you can allow a broader set of team members to execute tactics. B2B-featured functionality is a plus. Pricing is competitive. What do you dislike? When Pardot was acquired in quick succession by ExactTarget and Salesforce, it was already ahead of competitors like HubSpot and SilverPop, and was rapidly enhancing the platform. Customers were told that the acquisition would only improve ...

Solid automation tool

What do you like best? Most marketing automation tools do a lot of the same stuff. Pardot is solidly in the middle-not as robust as more expensive options but pretty solid overall. The Salesforce integration makes it stand out, especially if you have a small or nonexistent ops team. What do you dislike? Extremely poor landing page functionality means you'll want another tool like LeadPages or Unbounce, both of which aren't too hard to integrate. Recommendations to others considering ...

Powerful email marketing tool

What do you like best? Easy to create, send and track everything from ad hoc operational emails to sophisticated drip campaigns We were able to get support through Office Hours, which was a bonus since we're a startup. And then there's the fact it's integrated with Salesforce, another plus. What do you dislike? Ooh, the learning curve is steep, but it works once you figure it out (most of the time. Sometimes, it seems to have a mind of its own, but maybe that's just user error! ...
