Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more
Pardot pros and cons
Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.
Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.
Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.
Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.
Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.
Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Great tool for optimizing the CRM experience
What do you like best? Drip campaigns allow you to message your audiences accordingly, rather than a spray & pray approach. What do you dislike? It can still be fairly clunky to use and we have leveraged Office Hours to be able to execute our campaigns. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have been able to create custom landing pages.

Not bad, but not a lot of development happening.
What do you like best? Pretty standard marketing platform. Blast emails, segmenting, etc. What do you dislike? A lot of UI issues that made it difficult to use (we use comfrey. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? email marketing

A little disappointed
What do you like best? The integration with Salesforce was the main reason we switched from using Hubspot. Hubspot wasn't able to deliver enough in terms of reporting. The sync with Salesforce required a lot of time and effort, where we couldn't see the results our team was looking for. What do you dislike? The layout and feel. Seems outdated and not as user-friendly as Hubspot. I don't enjoy how there is no capability to create a beautiful CTA button, instead you are forced to create ...

Our marketing is limited due to system limitations
What do you like best? I like the ability to organize all of my email campaigns What do you dislike? There are several system limitations including sending from a variable sender, the format of the landing pages and some reporting that we needed custom work done to complete. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a lot of unconventional ways of dsitributing your leads to sales or sending from variable senders, this creates a lot of consulting work with a firm ...

Pardot is good for businesses, not amazing at design
What do you like best? The integration with SF contacts/lists is a great standard that makes sure your information, lists, contacts, etc. is all integrated and up to date. I will say the tracking and metrics provided after each email send are exceptional. I do wish there were a way to choose the graph (instead of it being just clicks. What do you dislike? The technology or deep details are very hard to figure out. If you cannot code, you will have a hard time figuring out how to get a ...

I have no faith
What do you like best? Theoretically it tracks and monitors all your emails - campaigns or otherwise . It does integrate very well with sales force What do you dislike? I dont trust it's data at all. Clicks opens and actions dont seem truthful to what I find when chasing leads. Pardot for outlook perpetually crashes. Recommendations to others considering the product DO NOT - I suggest you take the time and check out other products. When I get my prospect report from pardot I am ...

Incomplete Platform
What do you like best? The bare-bones UI is kind of nice compared to HubSpot, but it can be hard to find things on the menu due to strange naming conventions. What do you dislike? Everything. Test emails arrive the next day. Forms require endless hacking. Simple tasks require automation. Default features are flimsy and often do not work. The Email editor has a terrible UI, and writes terrible HTML. We spend most of our time working on code instead of marketing. Recommendations to ...
