Despite being developed by SQL Developer allows users to easily manage connections Oracle databases as well as to a multitude of database technologies such as SQL Server, Mysql, and Teradata through third party plugins. The tool is very intuitive, and you can't beat the free price.

What do you like best about SQL Developer? Its free! It provides interface for all PL SQL modules, Java procedures, HTML, XML etc. It supports all developer operations like create tables, triggers, packages etc and also DBA features like snapshots, RMAN etc. Oracle SQL developer can be integrated with Oracle APEX! Its very useful for PL SQL Unit testing. The other nice feature is we can see multiple datagrids at a time for multiple queries ran in a query window.
