What do you like best? Essbase allows users to easily query a selected dataset from a very large database. The entire interface is built as an add-on to Excel, which requires very little learning curve for someone that doesn’t know any SQL. Useful for what it does but buggy and small in scale

What do you like best? The Essbase database is very powerful and you can easily retrieve the data on an Excel interface. What do you dislike? The interface is prone to bugs and you can easily corrupt your spreadsheets when you try to retrieve a large amount of data. Also the required maintenance level is high and you often experience outages.
