What do you like best? The ease of running reports very quickly and the ability to modify deminsions and measures as needed. What do you dislike? Honestly, I do not have anything I dislike about using Essbase. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? What do you like best? User friendly, Great for Finance and Accounting people What do you dislike? Loved original Essbase addin, SmartView not as easy to use. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Consultant. Have used for data analytics focused on add hoc queries.

Essbase is the best!
What do you like best? Essbase provides the easiest reporting capabilites of any tool I've used. What do you dislike? Not a thing...I hae been using Essbase for nearly 20 years and haven't found anything I don't like What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Easy retrieval of data.

Its's essbase, what else do you need to know?
What do you like best? Essbase gives you the ability to drill into any level of you hirearchies, from any spot, to view any level of data that you want to see What do you dislike? there are very few things i dislike about essbase, but if i had to say one, it would be the limitations around duplicate member names. Gotten much better, still ways to go
What do you like best? new Web UI, default Hybrid BSO. Ability to access logs via the Web UI. Application Workbook What do you dislike? The new architecture on the server lays files in multiple places, and is usually a pain to navigate. It is the best product i have ever used
What do you like best? i can get my financial data pulled into analysis easily What do you dislike? timing of the pull in smartview.. big data pulls lock up and stop all other office product usage................................................................. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? we have tied obiee to essbase and will have oac tied to it as well. we use it to do adhoc financial analysis and produce reusable pivots

What do you like best? FLexible caluculations. Ablity to bulid alternate structures What do you dislike? The calc scripts are sometimes difficult to write because they can be buggy What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use planning and budgeting. Allows us to do what we need quicker!
