Best, most solid DB ever. And wait till you see 12c
What do you like best? RAC was a great feature, and so the layered security that got all the way down to cell level What do you dislike? I have to say price. Me having sold it, and customers having told me repeatedly :P Recommendations to others considering the product Best DB in the market

Unless you want to hire a specialist, you can find better
What do you like best? Oracle 11g is the standard de facto standard database in the Oracle world. It's a reliable and powerful tool for handling large chunks of business data. What do you dislike? Oracle is not very easy to figure out. Their documentation manuals are very cryptic and not easy for someone unfamiliar with their platform. As a result, you could end up spending a lot more time than necessary to get your system implemented. The PL/SQL language used by Oracle could have its own ...

Big and Expensive!
What do you like best? It is a great database. Several big companies use it. What do you dislike? VERY difficult to use. Must be "in it" all the time to understand it at all. Navigation is confusing. Very heavy and expensive! Once you go this route you can never (may not never, but... go back to switch. Recommendations to others considering the product Shop around before taking this leap

Good name behind them.
What do you like best? Oracle has always been see as the premium choice for databases. If you needed a large robust database oracle was the one to choose. What do you dislike? The top editions can be very expensive. Support also can get very expensive too Recommendations to others considering the product MS SQL is getting good for large databases now. Review your requirements and really see if you need oracle. It may save your business thousands

Great Database, but Watch the Price Tag
What do you like best? Easily the best enterprise database on the market. Fast, manageable, fairly easy to use. It's more robust than MS SQL Server. I would pretty much call it World Class. What do you dislike? It can get extremely costly, but you are getting the best. Recommendations to others considering the product Depending on the amount of data you are going to be using, Oracle is by far the best database option on the market. Give it a whirl if you have the money.

The king of databases
What do you like best? Oracle has the name, the support and the user base to be one of the best databases. Its very rubust and actually not to hungry (compared to others for the size etc What do you dislike? Can get very expensive compared to SQL. Recommendations to others considering the product Usually you are tied to what your application requires., However if you can choose look long term at sizes etc that you need.

Enterprise level database at entrpise heavy price
What do you like best? It appears to be the most heavily supported enterprise ready database. And if you need find a vendor specific personnel Oracle does a good job of certifying Oracle DB admins. Tons of features and plays nice with other Oracle software/hardware. What do you dislike? It is ridiculously expensive. No one in their right mind in the startup world would ever seriously consider using this as a database. Oracle also uses forced obsolesces to get you to upgrade aka pay huge ...

Excellent, but pricey SQL database for the enterprise
What do you like best? Oracle's database is probably one of the best, fastest databases on the market. What do you dislike? The price is very high and only really useful for enterprise companies. Also, potentially not the best option for many needs today. NoSQL databases are beginning to fill a niche where atomic operations are not required. Recommendations to others considering the product Would only recommend for established enterprise companies deploying in the enterprise. Startups ...
