Oracle 12c is reliable and has many online resources for help
What do you like best? Reliability is great. Oracle is used around the world and therefore has many online forums available for help. What do you dislike? I use many different database environments and there are some features in other databases that would be nice to have in this that would make some tasks easier. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? My employer uses this as the main database for all records.

What do you like best? Provides network acceleration and compression which greatly improves performance perceived by our end users. What do you dislike? Oracle databases are very complex and the cost can be prohibitive for some organizations. Therefore it is mostly ideal for those who have a large budget and the people to support it. Oracle - A Slow Application
What do you like best? Oracle works the way you expect it to, as a traditional SQL tool application. What do you dislike? The load/wait times for the application are detrimental to work flow. Not to mention it’s inability to work with ETL software like SSIS. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Providing commission reporting for various business teams.

Oracle DB 12c - probably the most versatile rational db
What do you like best? Performance, once fine tuned, is paramount. Also it is more stable and easier to administer if you have the experts who do it on your premises. Can handle huge amount of data without crashing. What do you dislike? Very expensive. Only pays off if have to support a lot of data and transactions per second. Simple and easy to use
What do you like best? I like how Oracle can store all relevant employee information in one location. It is user friendly and has a pretty straightforward platform. It is easy to access. Easiest database to use
What do you like best? The new plugable databases allow less risk when consolidating. What do you dislike? SQL hasn't been improved that much from last version. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure you are familiar with the pluggable database feature before consolidating. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Creating databases for GIS maps. Never have to worry about changing code when consolidating.
