A brilliant cloud-based storage solution.

PROS: Documentum has given us a reliable and extensive space for all of our files. We’re in this partnership for the long-haul, for sure. CONS: You can’t expect Documentum to just magically organize your files for you. You need to set aside time to categorize your files and save them under specific fields. Otherwise, you would have trouble searching for keywords without declared main categories. Other than this tedious task, everything works smoothly for us.

PROS: One major benefit that I see in using Documentum is that I can access files in just about any platform--in my work station, my PC, and even my mobile devices. CONS: It’s quite difficult to learn. Although there are certain tutorials available, these can add up to the confusion too.

Reliable platform for storing files.

PROS: We can easily retrieve files from the database by just keying in a few search words. The actual process of downloading files from the database is pretty swift too. CONS: It takes a while to find certain files that have a lot of similar tags on our metadata.

The complete package!

PROS: This program is the complete package. Not only does it have a full range of functionalities, but it’s also flexible and reliable in build too. It serves me and my team pretty well. Not to mention, their customer support group is pretty helpful as well.

Works well for companies that have operations all around the globe

PROS: Documentum allows us to access and manage documents across multiple operations all over the globe. It stores a pretty reliable timeline of the different updates that we have done on certain documents too--allowing us to follow the improvements and see the history of file versions.

What do you like best about OpenText Documentum? User-friendly program, easy to store your files and to organize them in such a way to be easily found afterwards. I have been in many companies during my career and it is the best solution I have used for managing documents.

Above anything else, this tool is reliable.

PROS: The best thing about Documentum is its reliability. It boasts of impressively robust functions that meet the requirements of my team. It has plenty of room for personalization too--letting me set my preferences quite easily. When it comes to working with other software, Documentum delivers well in this department too. Searching through the files are no longer as tedious. In fact, this feature alone sets Documentum apart from all other similar solutions.

Keeps an impressive history of versions of documents.

PROS: The best thing about Documentum is that we can see the history of edits done on certain documents. We can easily export specific elements of documents too. CONS: Managing Documentum on a larger scale can be quite a challenge. I needed to duplicate preferences and access across multiple users and I had a hard time doing so.
