What do you like best about OpenText Documentum? The best thing about it is that it is a single-stop shop for managing your content. If properly managed, a user can use it for well-defined lifecycle management of the documents and content.

An online repository.

PROS: Documentum gives us the ease in knowing that our data are properly filed and protected. CONS: There are times when the program would lag--but this is just about the only complaint I have about Documentum.

Best for voluminous projects.

PROS: If you’re on the lookout for a robust and time-tested file management solution, then you can hardly go wrong in choosing Documentum. It can solve just about any file management needs--from rounding up big volumes of files all the way to the smaller ones. It works pretty seamlessly with other programs too.

A little behind when it comes to innovation.

PROS: Documentum has significantly made our lives so much easier. We initially introduced this into our workflow to simply manage our files and organize it better. However, we quickly learned that this robust tool delivers much more than storing and filing documents. In fact, it has substantially improved some of our other work processes as well. PROS: One of the main things that I love about this program is that it respects the environment of the programs with which our clients use. This makes working together--including the editing and approval phases--run much more smoothly. Just about anyone can use this tool too, and at any program they wish to open documents in.
