Credit check without consent
I’ve received a notification from Equifax that this company has carried out a credit check (which they subsequently deleted from my file) without my consent! Waiting for a response to find out why....but judging other reviews on this page it looks like I’m unlikely to get a response.

Terrible company. Used by few major supermarkets
Absolutely terrible. Have had to have my identity verified twice now through Onfido & both times I’ve lost the job to insufficient amount of identity. Morrison’s & Tesco please stop using them. I don’t want to be that guy. But I have the correct identity. Surely it’s illegal to refuse someone’s birth certificate and deed poll. I sent them an email that they haven’t responded to as well 👏🏻

Didn't work
I was forced to use (or try to use!) Onfido by my new bank. First they had me make pictures of an ID - which you're told by our government not to do - but okay. They had all these requirements of readability, and everything on the ID needed to be visible. After two tries they approved my pictures... but after approving the quality of the pictures then they said my pictures were not accepted, possibly because my ID was out of date. Well, my ID is still valid until 2026, so that's insane. So ...

Has a very untrustworthy feel to their seemingly innocuous data harvesting, ,why would the government use this type of company without the public,s knowledge ? Not cool !

Buyer Beware! Don’t upload your photo ID.
Buyer Beware! LetGo was bought out by OfferUp (apps for buying and selling things locally). Now you can’t message sellers or use the app at all until you upload your Driver’s License through “TruYou.” Whoa! Skeptical, I uploaded my New York Real Estate Broker’s License as my photo ID because it doesn’t show my home address. After two days they Rejected it insisting they only accept driver’s licenses. Tried without success to send ID…
Tried without success to send ID verification to Carzam even downloaded Onfido App to see if that would help sadly that let me down as well, I was ready to cancel my new car purchase due to this frustrating and incompetent site.
