Really good analytics platform

What do you like best? Easy to read graphs and charts. Easy to use UI What do you dislike? Maybe there could be more things that it could read. I'm still looking for an easy way to monitor memory usage Recommendations to others considering the product: I'm not familiar enough with any competitors to say how they rank in comparison, but we get it free as part of the Pantheon platform. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? New Relic is ...

A must have for web service monitoring

What do you like best? New Relic provides all the metrics needed to perfectly monitor your service, discover issues and troubleshoot them. Being able to track down a performance degradation down to the relevant code deployment and commit is a super useful feature. What do you dislike? - The UI can be slow and overcrowded sometimes. - Tracking performance in custom code can be tricky. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We've ...

Really useful for monitoring our websites server

What do you like best? We use it for website monitoring, to track errors, execution time, and call path. It is really easy to trace errors and to pinpoint what is going on. We are able to easily see why certain transactions are slow and able to make improvements based on that. The alerts for error rate have saved us a few times, they would go off and we found and fixed issues quickly. What do you dislike? The interface is a bit hard to use, and things are really hidden sometimes. It ...

A very powerful, flexible tool

What do you like best? It offers a lot of useful tools to monitor your application's health. It has a lot of detailed performance data that lets you quickly identify problem areas and bottlenecks. The live alerts are extremely useful, too, allowing us to maintain uptime even outside of work hours or any time we aren't actively working. What do you dislike? It's extremely tedious to pull any historical data, even something as simple as a single error that occurred last week. The sheer ...

New Relic, a must have for your rails application

What do you like best? - easy to setup - ease of use - great/handy UI with great UX - Functionalities that cover most of your day to day needs while not being too complicated - Reliable, low maintenance cost What do you dislike? - the functionality on doing more detailed performance profiling could have been improved - in general, New relic provides a very convenient and handy solution for app monitoring/tracking, however, there might be more advanced and customizable ...

Great analytics

What do you like best? I love seeing in-depth what's working for my site and what isn't. What do you dislike? Setup is not as intuitive as it could be. Recommendations to others considering the product: It would be silly not to use some sort of analytic tool like this on a major site you're building What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Helps identify lags in business logic and general performance

NewRelic is essential for APM

What do you like best? The ability to see traces of an extremely slow transaction and examine the database queries that ran for that instance. Comparing the CPU, memory, and throughout of all servers for an application. What do you dislike? Older data loses precision, but it does show the general data that you are looking for. The general interface can be a bit slow or clunky and take some time to switch time frame or transaction. I would have liked to see historical performance easier ...

Love and Depend on New Relic

What do you like best? The ability to get access to data so quickly and to refer to historic data to improve operational decisions. What do you dislike? I really do love the software so this may seem petty but not having some kind of up down built into the server monitoring makes it so I need to deploy another agent or utilize an additional tool to get this data. Recommendations to others considering the product: Great Product at least give it a try. What problems are you ...

Always on, consistently easy to use

What do you like best? As our infrastructure has grown, the level of complexity has grown as well. NewRelic has been a constant for monitoring across all of our services. It is just as simple to get an at-a-glance view of infrastructure health as it was in the beginning. What do you dislike? There is nothing that I dislike about the platform. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Infrastructure health monitoring

Helps my team stay on top of all of our apps

What do you like best? I like that New Relic keeps me in the loop in regards to what's happening with the applications my team has created. Anytime there's something wrong, I can go in there and start figuring out what the problem is. I also really like the weekly recap emails that let me know the overall health of our apps and any issues that we had during the week. What do you dislike? I'm a newer user so I sometimes find New Relic a bit overwhelming. I like what it does, but haven't ...
