Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Moonfruit, once hailed for its accessible and user-friendly website-building tools, has faced significant challenges over the past year. Many long-standing customers have expressed frustration over the company's handling of the Adobe Flash discontinuation, which rendered websites temporarily uneditable and disrupted services for months. Migration to an ...Read more

Moonfruit pros and cons

  • Long-term customers appreciated the platform's ease of use and affordability in its earlier years.

  • Some users found the "Flash fix" effective after proper installation, restoring editing functions.

  • Outdated platform with poor adaptability to modern technologies; reliance on Flash caused a major service disruption.

  • Extremely delayed response to Flash's end-of-life transition, leaving users unable to edit their websites for months.

I have been a loyal customer with…

I have been a loyal customer with Moonfruit for over 10 years. They never implemented anything to deal with the flash situation and this has been notified for well over a year on google and the temporary interim is a joke. It has been around 3 months that I haven't been able to update my sites. Moonfruit hasn't been able to find a solution and this has just lost them a loyal customer.

Moonfruit, Web Eden, all deserve a "0," rating! Horrible platforms and customer service!

I want to give 0 stars as the customer service is so very badly managed. There are 3 sites, Web Eden Classic, Net and Moonfruit and neither can get anything right. We hav been a client since 2009 and very frustrated with the entire platform system. I have been trying to get this co., Web Eden classic, to transfer our domain to go daddy and close the account and nobody responds. I did Gert an email last week saying to give them 30 minutes as they were talking with the team and no one got ...

What the F**** has happened to Moonfruit?

After 15 years with them with 8 paid sites. Nothing now works.. The pages look crap, I can't edit any even after following their instructions, and I cant get any response from their so called help team.. Cancelling all direct debits and moving asap.

Avoid Moonfruit

I have had a MF site for 14 years and it was ok to use until the flash debacle. I’ve been waiting to edit for ages and have now downloaded Firefox as per their site instructions and still can’t edit my website. And there’s no one to help I will be moving my to another provider.

I sell things on my site

IF YOU SELL THINGS, PLEASE CHECK YOUR META TAG FIELDS IN ADMIN RIGHT NOW. Most of the content in mine vanished during the changeover. Business has ground to a halt as my rankings have plummeted as meta tag SEO was wiped, so now many people are not finding my site. Report it here or to Moonfruit if you are affected too, because right now one of the main guys on the UK tech team said I am the first person reporting this, but I cannot be the only one - I reckon people are just not thinking to ...

How to get rid of the Flash End of Life page

@ Archie Bold and anyone else who finds they get taken to the "Flash end of life" page. That happened to me until I uninstalled the previous Flash application before downloading the fix. Trustpilot doesn't allow links, so just search for How to Uninstall Flash. Once I'd uninstalled the previous application, I found that I could correctly download and open the new Flash fix which came out last week and my websites work absolutely fine, exactly as they did before, including the metatags. I ...

Deserves 0 stars for complete cock-up

Moonfruit appears to have collapsed. Weeks of promising fixes to its site editor in light of the demise of Adobe Flash that haven’t materialised. The latest “fix” involves switching browser to Firefox and re-downloading Flash and adding letters to the site editor URL. This (predictably) takes you to the Adobe Flash end of life page. So much for a “fix”. Customer service consists of asking for screenshots! No live chat, no phone line. Years of content inaccessible, website out of date, ...

Re Moonfruit

Re Moonfruit. They really should have been better prepared and have now speant 51 days saying it will work soon.Following instructions given by them. This means shifting to firefox, adding letters to my webpage name. This takes to "run flash". Clicking on this takes to a large "FI" box. Clicking on that takes to "adobe flash end of life" website. Which is of course the problem. Telling them that has not offered any more help. Very disappointing
