In my line of work, we often need to put in a lot of technical information that requires representation of complex scientific equations, graphs and charts, and much more, while arguably LaTex does a better job, it also has a significantly steeper learning curve which creates issue, the fact that MS word can handle all of it without having to learn complex code is great.
