Best for managing Microsoft Devices

What do you like best? There is no other product that can quite do what System Center does for managing Windows and supporting Workstations or servers. I have been working with SCCM and SCOM and all other system center products for over 10 years and can say that the level flexibility and granularity that you can configure these products are just impressive to say the lease. any ogranization that runs windows on their desktops that is size over 300 seats must have the SCCM. and if you have ...

Microsoft System Center - End-to-End Service-Management Product

What do you like best? System Center is a trusted well known Microsoft component that you can utilize with an extreme large number of computers very efficiently when the product was properly planned, deployed, and configured. It makes our jobs as admins and engineers easier and that is what i look for in technology. What do you dislike? It's a long and big setup overall. There is no "out of the box deployment" but maybe that is also a good thing depending on perspective. It's not ...

What do you like best? Allows us to quickly deploy applications to our users - saves us a ton of time! We also use it to deploy images to desktops and laptops. What do you dislike? SCCM is a bit difficult to work with unless you take a Microsoft course. Highly recommend taking the MS Administering SCCM course before starting! Recommendations to others considering the product: Great product once you are over the learning curve Highly recommend taking the MS course on Administering ...

MS System Center ease of use

What do you like best? I like how it works across multiple platforms but it is easy to use. It also has a lot of network protections and lots of options for solutions within one system. What do you dislike? I have found nothing to dislike about it. It can occasionally get bogged down but I believe that is more from our networking issue than anything, not specific to the system center. Recommendations to others considering the product: I think its a fantastic product and so ...

System Center Virtually Machine Manager

What do you like best? Easy layout using the Microsoft Ribbon and easy to expand drives within the interface. Making support of multiple customers easy What do you dislike? Network virtualisation in SCVMM. SCVMM itself uses an SQL backend and it polls each of the hosts. It fails to refresh hosts and VMs on occasions causing machines to lose their IPs. When using VLANs it works fine Recommendations to others considering the product: Use VLANs and use the latest version of SCVMM. ...

Comprehensive suite for on-premise/private cloud infrastructure management

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? The best things/features that the System Center has to offer are its Virtual Machine Manager and Operations Manager.
