It relies on WSUS, but even getting WSUS properly configured has a couple of pitfalls that aren't well documented. Getting all of System Center up and running takes a lot of time and there are several "gotchas" along the way that slow you down. System Center Configuration Manager
What do you like best? Excellent for application deployment, patch management and hardware/software inventory. This can also do some good health and configuration checks as well as virtualized applications. SCCM is a great tool for remote management.
