What do you like best? MSSQL query syntax is very similar to MySQL, MariaDB, and other SQL databases. MSSQL Server Express is free, but has all the features of the full MSSQL Server. 10+ Years with SQL Server and still using it...
What do you like best? 1. Execution Plan is very helpful in improving the query performance. They are really making it very simple to understand by showing it with nice UI. 2. Profiler helps in debugging and fixing issues in production and UAT environments, where we don't have direct access. 3. UI. Compare to other database tools like Toad for oracle and mysql, SQL Server Management Studio UI is nicely designed. Very limited buttons on screen, but clean and easy to use. Where as you ...

SQL Server is one of Best RDBMS in market
What do you like best? SQL Server provides multiple options to choose for High Availability for e.g. Always ON, Database Mirroring, Replication, Cluster, Log shipping, etc. It support database snapshot and content databases which is very useful way of managing multiple DB requirements. Great database to work with
What do you like best? The capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server are amazing. They have added some very useful features over the years my favorite being MERGE and CTE. I've used it every day for the past 10 years, and the only time it failed under heavy load was back before we upgraded to 2008 version. What do you dislike? The SQL Server Management Studio is ok, it allows you to change UI colors, etc. I was able to find a dark theme... But it's a far cry from a true IDE. Although if you ...
